This week we will be beginning a science unit on HEAT. We will be learning theses vocabulary words: thermal energy, heat, friction, conduction, conductor, insulator, convection, radiation, and thermometer. In this unit we are going to learn about ways things become hot, ways to use heat as energy, how thermal energy moves through objects, how temperature is measured, and ways in which controlling heat (or thermal energy) makes our lives easier.
